“Fresh Prince” Actor James Avery Dead at 68

Some very sad news on the first of the New Year, actor James Avery passed away, last night, at just 68 years old.

The actor, best known for his portrayal of Uncle Phil in 90’s sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” had undergone open heart surgery shortly before his death.

Unfortunately the actor’s health took a turn for the worse shortly there after. He passed away with wife Barbara by his side.

May he rest in peace.
