Actor George Clooney has just shocked the world with his surprising engagement to British lawyer Amal Alamuddin.
The 52 year old Academy Award winning actor, has long time been known as the ultimate bachelor, declaring he’d never marry again following his 1993 divorce from Talia Balsam. He’s dated lots of women and , perhaps, have broken may hearts but the British human rights lawyer may have changed Clooney’s mind on marriage.
The couple is said to have begun dating last Fall. They’ve been spotted together in London, New York, Tanzania and the Seychelles.
Onlookers noticed a giant rock on Alamuddin’s left ring finger when the two met Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber for dinner Thursday in Malibu, Calif.
So who is this woman? Alamuddin, 36, Clooney’s non-hollywood partner in recent years, studied at Oxford and NYU and is fluent in three languages. She has a background in international law and human rights.
No word yet on when and where the couple will decide to tie the knot. And knowing how private the actor is, we wouldn’t be surprised if the couple decide to wed in a private ceremony cut off from prying eyes and cameras.
