On Monday, we reported that Ginuwine‘s lawyer, Bruce Beckner, released a statement claiming that he is “very close to declaring bankruptcy” due to his divorce from Sole (Tonya Johnston). The news left the media and fans shocked since there was no previous coverage on the couple’s “quiet divorce”.
On Tuesday, Ginuwine released a statement via Instagram on the situation. Although he didn’t address his current financial status, he did say that he and Sole are not divorced, at least not yet. He shared a message with his fans after uploading a picture with the inspirational quote, “Quitting is just NOT an option.”
“We are NOT yet divorced, but we ARE currently separated and working towards coming to our own agreement, without lawyers, to amicably and fairly divorce. We’ve kept it quiet because it is really no ones business but ours and our family’s. Therefore, reports that she left me “broke” are untrue. She has been a good wife and mother and my poor choices and actions over many years have lead to this.”
