Rock star and new mom Gwen Stefani has just confirmed what’s been rumored for the past week. She’s officially joining NBC’s ‘The Voice’ as one of the judges for its upcoming season 7.
The ‘No Doubt’ front-woman shared the news on her official Instagram by posting the below image accompanied with this message, “It’s true!…gx @nbcthevoice”
Following news that the now pregnant Christina Aguilera would take some time off to prepare for the arrival of her daughter with fiance, Matt Rutler, later this year, ‘The Voice’ producers were on the hunt for her replacement.
In fact, it was Aguilera who also made the official announcement that Stefani, who also just welcomed her third child and son this year, would replace her.
Aguilera tweeted, “So excited to have you join #TheVoice squad @GwenStefani! Welcome to our crazy fam! Kisses xoxo #blondesdoitbetter.”
Stefani will join fellow judges, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton. But, she won’t be the only newcomer. Musician and producer Pharrell Williams will also being joining the show. He’ll replace Cee-Lo Green.
What are your thoughts CK readers, is Stefani a great choice for the music competition show?
