Each year, on the third Monday in January we celebrate the life and dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to live in a world where “we are not judge by the color of our skin but the contents of our character”. Dr. King made that statement in his famous “I Have A Dream” speech. Today, that dream is coming true more so than ever. On the eve of President-Elect Barack Obama’s inauguration, it is a proud moment in history to witness Dr. King’s dream and sacrifices were not made in vain. And I am proud that I was able to witness a moment in history that my ancestors and theirs only dreamed of. Happy Dr. Martin Luther King Day everyone!
