Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony Divorce Update

Ever wonder why celebs and high profile institutes announce bad news on Fridays? Because they hope we’d forget about it come Monday!

Well….. we didn’t forget. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are still getting a divorce, Harry Potter & The Deathly Hollow Part II has officially taken over the world and the Japan women’s soccer team won The World Cup! But back to J Lo and Marc, the couple have decided to end their marriage after 7 years and a set of adorable 3 year old twins Max and Emme.

In a joint statement that couple has stated,

“We have decided to end our marriage,” the couple said in a statement to E! News. “This was a very difficult decision. We have come to amicable conclusion on all matters. It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”

Is anyone really all that surprised that these two are divorcing? I mean really? This will be her third, his second and a long list of lovers in between. I know, I know.  I’m being a bit cynical but this is not my attempt to add more rain on their parade. Fact is fact and well….. we wish them all the best anyway.

But in a bit of good spirits, Anthony, who held his first concert in Colombia since the announcement, jokingly stated, “They’re saying I’m single.” According to people.com, the singer was even friendly and flirtatious to a female fan, “He pointed out one female fan and called her “Mamacita” – or “Hot Mama.” As the crowd chanted, “Mamacita, mamacita” he told her, “You’re so beautiful.”

As for Ms. Lopez, the latin beauty has not been seen since the couple’s announcement.

Well it seems the couple will remain amicable in their split, for now anyway. Best wishes.
