K. Michelle is the latest celebrity to be accused of failing to pay their rent in some recent reports. The singer allegedly skipped out of a $6,450 payment when she moved from Atlanta to New York City, reports Access Atlanta.
According to documents, the real estate broker, Jason Lapene, the singer rented the apartment last October and wanted to release from her lease early. He says, ““I was trying to accommodate her. But she just disappeared and didn’t give me the keys.”
Lapene also says K also owes late fees and an additional $1,250 in filing and administrative costs.
Well, the singer didn’t take the news all too lightly. She tweeted, “Shower Not working. NO rent. Very simple.” She followed up with a more elaborate message on social sharing site Instagram where she insists she actually moved four months ago.
