Kanye Debuts Dw Line During London’s Fashion Week

Kudos to Mr. West! The rapper debuted his Spring 2012 Collection for his Dw Ready To Wear Women’s  fashion line this past Saturday during London’s fashion week and I must say I am very impressed.

With inspiration from designers such as Riccardo Tisci, Azzedine Alaia, Olivier Theyskens, Alexander Wang, Silvia Fendi, Joseph Altuzarra and Dean and Dan Caten the designs were as he put it, ready to wear.

“Dw” stands for his mother’s initials, Donda West, who past away in 2007 after complications following cosmetic surgery.

I love when designs can be worn straight off the runway. Fashion is art. Very  innovative and subjective to the eye but if many people wouldn’t wear it on the street then what’s the point of the design, right? Just my opinion.

Further more, when asked about his line Kanye stated,

“I’m so scared, I’m so nervous.” said Kanye. “The biggest conversation I hope I can end tonight is the whole ‘celebrity designer’ thing/ That’s the biggest hurdle when you want to get amazing people to work for you.” He told reporters.
