It looks like Kany West may be coming to his senses. After a fallout with Nike that ended a previous partnership, Kanye dissed the company during his interview with Hot 97’s Angie Martinez.
It was that same interview the rapper announced that he secured a new deal with Adidas, also sharing in the profits and royalties.
The rapper is now talking a bit more about his deal with Adidas and issues an apology to Nike while doing so.
“It feels good to create more. To create a product that I can control the pricing on that I can do quality control on, says Kanye. “I feel confident to have a great partner backing my ideas and allowing me to think and be creative and for giving me that shot. The same way that Dame gave me a record deal ten years ago and gave me a shot. I was able to do something creative with it. It’s a new opportunity for me. I feel like I have a new family, fiance, child and I got a new creative outlet. As a creative person you need those different outlets.”
In his apology to Nike West says, “I’m still gonna do music but I really feel honored to have had the chance to blow Yeezys up with Nike and I really appreciate everything they did for me. I’m not knocking them or burning no bridges. I apologize for my frustration earlier and I think it’s time. I just think it’s time, it’s go time, it’s turn up time…”
