It pays to be the former girlfriend of a high profile celebrity for sure. Forget a love-triangle, Karrueche Tran is coming out winning from her, Chris Brown, and Rihanna‘s love story gone awry.
Tran will be launching her new line and official website, the-kill.com, this Wednesday and her very own walking billboard is none other than Chris Brown himself. She’s been posting some previews on what’s to come on Twitter but come Wednesday (12.12.12) we’ll finally see if Tran has what it takes to be the next “girlfriend of so and so” turned “I now have my own brand”. And, that’ll be designer apparently. Tran will also model the line as promotion for the new endeavor.
But here’s the deal. Tran is actually assisting and partnering with Chris’ stylists Ugo Mozie and MiMi Gazelle on the collection. Ugo and Tran are said to be in Paris to style Chris for a few photoshoots for the new brand and in preparation for its launch.
While Karrueche, Chris and Rihanna are all in Paris at the moment and everyone’s wondering how this love story will unfold Tran is getting her free promotion! The Kill has been spotted everywhere Chris has left his mark. He was spotted wearing a hat from the new line and he even went as far as posting this photo on his Instagram account.

Although rumors are swarming that Tran and Chris may still be hooking up following their break up and that Rihanna is upset about the new developments the former couple have not be spotted together. Or perhaps not yet.
But we did get this tid bit, Since Rihanna’s arrival to Paris one day ago she and Chris are reportedly staying at the same hotel. Hmmm….this is getting good huh?
Anyway, here are my thoughts. Regardless of the state of this love triangle I’ll say, smart move Tran! Check-mate. Get your money up! If she can no longer have the man (or entirely) why not profit off his behalf? She hasn’t been the first to do this and she won’t be the last. Rihanna and Chris and pop stars! They’ve made their mark, made their millions and they’ve still got a long career ahead of them. If I was Kae I would take advantage of the new found fame and establish my own career too.
I can’t be mad at that can you?
