Well, wasn’t that the shortest retirement in history?! Katt Williams is back after announcing his retirement from stand up comedy days ago. The announcement from a teary eyed Williams was even captured on a live Seattle news station.
However, his management team has released this press release just yesterday. The statement, issued via TMZ, reads, “Katt is definitely NOT retiring. He will be moving forward with the tour … Friday is Texas, Saturday New Orleans, and on to Alabama.” It continues…
“The reason why he made remarks was due to him feeling totally disrespected by all the things that happen to him in the city of Seattle. He had a moment where he felt very unappreciated. He now just wants to move forward from those unfortunate events and give his fans outstanding shows from this point forward.”
Our guess? Katt Williams is under contractual obligations and his tour manager Suge Knight, who also happened to bail him out a Seattle jail cell, just ain’t having it! Suge wants his money!
But that’s not it.
Upon returning to Sacramento, California after leaving Seattle Katt Williams was arrested again! This time his arrest is stemming from the wild goose chase he lead Sacramento police on last week.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department issued the warrant on Thursday for reckless driving.
The California Highway Patrol officer says Williams fled the scene of his downtown Sacramento hotel after he was spotted by officers driving on a nearby sidewalk on a three-wheeled motorcycle.
Our thoughts? Stay away from drugs kids!
Just sad.
