Kelly Rowland is confirming a bit of news we previously reported on. She’s engaged!

The singer and ‘X-Factor’ has accepted boyfriend and manager Tim Witherspoon‘s proposal.

Sources close to Ms. Rowland has confirmed the news to Us Weekly.

According to the media outlet, “She has been showing [the ring] off to friends and family and is very happy,” one insider tells Us. “She wants to…enjoy [it] and celebrate for a bit longer.”

Rumors of the singer’s engagement began to circulate when Rowland posted a recent Instagram video with a sparkling diamond engagement ring on her left hand ring finger.

The singer was previously engaged to football player Roy Williams. The couple split back in January 2005 just a few months before walking down the aisle.
