Universal Motown has finally given Kelly Rowland‘s album the light of day. The singer’s latest project ‘Here I Am’ is set for a June 26th release. Since the release of Kelly’s current single ‘Motivation’ and its steady rise on the R&B/Hip Hop charts, even garnering the #1 spot, its no wonder the label wants to take advantage of Rowland’s latest success. And I can’t say I blame them.
But with Kelly’s former band mate and mega pop star Beyonce also releasing her fourth album, ‘4’, in the same week I’m not so sure this was a wise decision.
Beyonce’s fourth album has not received the best reviews thus far but do keep in mind that it is BEYONCE! She can sell water to a well.
I’m not so sure Kelly has had the proper promotion and backing or the loyal fan base to outsell Ms. Knowles. However, I am glad to see her star is beaming a bit brighter these days.
