Well, who saw this coming? We thought NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak would never be friends again after several failed attempts to rekindle a friendship. It’s no secret the two reality stars bumped heads and nearly went to blows as depicted on popular reality show, ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’. In fact, Kim quit the show this past season after being accused of lying and not wanting to support her fellow housewives. She’s also now being sued by former cast mate Kandi Burruss over copyright infringement.
However, it looks like Kim and former nemesis NeNe Leakes were able to patch things up. During a recent interview with InTouch magazine, Leakes discussed her friendship with Kim and also reveals she even invited Kim to her wedding ceremony to Gregg Leakes.
NeNe says, “We are going to have a big fantasy wedding, probably in Atlanta this summer…I will definitely invite every castmate from every show I’m on. I don’t know who’s available but they’re all on the list! RHOA’s Cynthia [Bailey] will be a bridesmaid. And Kim [Zolciak] will be invited as well. She’s invited to my wedding, and I believe she will come. I’m extending an olive branch.”
And Kim has already confirmed she’ll be attending the ceremony.
She says, “I have always been and I continue to be happy for NeNe, and I look forward to being invited to the wedding. NeNe and I started this journey together and although we have had our ups and downs, I am excited to get our friendship back on track.”
The ladies even had a friendly exchange on Twitter recently.
Leakes shared with her followers, “Just had the best chat wit @Kimzolciak! Now I see @BrielleZolciak [Kim’s daughter] is following me! I just pulled off the road 2 cry. This is 2 much”
Kim also added, “My heart is at such peace @neneleakes best chat ever! See u soon! #onwardandupward
She continued with, “My timeline is full of happy tweets! I must say Im very happy too that @neneleakes and I had a heart to heart! We made a pact”
It was also Kim who shared the above photo on Instagram with the words, “Some of my most memorable moments w/ @neneleakes God is good! #manymoretofollow”
Awww…isn’t that awesome. Love to see that these two have put their differences aside and have rekindled a friendship together.
While NeNe is currently planning her second wedding for former husband Gregg Leakes, Kim is preparing to debut her own reality show, “Don’t Be Tardy”, set to air on April 16th.
