Kordell Stewart & Porsha Stewart Release First Statements Since Divorce Filing

Early Tuesday morning, we were all shocked to learned that not only had Kordell Stewart filed for a divorce from housewife Porsha Stewart, she was blindsided by the news.

Through his lawyer he has since issued an official statement addressing his divorce filing. Here’s what he had to say, courtesy Hip Hollywood,

Porsha Stewart also released an official statement through her rep. As per a representative, “Mrs. Stewart is disappointed about her husband’s recent filing for divorce. Mrs. Stewart had held off on filing for a divorce herself and remained committed to the marriage because Mr. Stewart promised to work on the marriage with her. Instead, he misled her and she found out about the filing in the media. Mrs. Stewart hopes to resolve these personal issues privately with the support of her family, friends and strong faith.”

She also tweeted the message, “Thank you for your Prayers,” with an attached photo with the below message.

Since news broke about the divorce, Porsha’s housewives cast mates have tweeted message of support for her.

Wow, Kordell could have done a better job in the way he handled the divorce filing, don’t you think?
