Kris Humphries has no intentions of making his divorce from Kim Kardashian easy.
Although Kim was present in the Los Angeles court, Friday morning, Kris was no where in sight.
The mandated court appointment was the last attempt of a quick resolution to end the 72 days marriage between the reality star and NBA player, before heading to trial on May 6.
According to TMZ, Humphries was last seen in Indiana Friday morning at a shoot-around with his team, The Brooklyn Nets. According to the site, he was also spotted visibly upset inside a New York City hotel around 1 a.m. that morning.
Upon realizing Humphries would not be making an appearance, the judge then ordered the media to leave the courtroom and closed it to the public.
Humphries alleges their marriage was a sham orchestrated by Kim, for the purpose of her reality show, and is asking for the marriage to be annulled. Kim, however, dispute the claims and wants a quickie divorce so she make move on with her life and with boyfriend Kanye West. She’s also expecting her first child with the rapper some time this summer.
Although Kris and Kim’s marriage lasted a mere 72 days, their divorce proceedings have gone on for nearly two years.
Kim’s family is expected to take the stand in her defense. There’s no word on whether boyfriend and dad to be, Kanye West will be asked to show up in court as well.
