Kris Humphries has been pretty mum since his divorce announcement, from Kim Kardashian, in late October, however, in his first public interview he spoke with ABC’s ‘Good Morning America’ about moving on and staying focused.

Actually, Humphries who was joined by mom, Debra Humphries, only agreed to do the interview because he believed the main focus of the show would be his charity work and his mom’s cooking segment. Kris was not too happy about the many questions about his relationship and divorce from Kim, to say the least. When the questions persist, a visibly uncomfortable Kris, tried to refocus the interview around his NBA career and his desire to move forward with his life a number of times.

‘GMA’ was able to get a few answers out of the Net’s player though. On his divorce he says, “For me, it’s just certain things happen in life and you’ve got to move forward.”

He went on to say, “Through everything I’m just focused on family and preparing for basketball,” he said.  “Basketball has always been something I’ve taken really serious and I continue to do that and I’m just moving forward.”

“I can’t say for sure or not for sure,” Humphries said today of whether or not the cameras ruined his marriage. “It’s the only time I’ve been married. I’ve been in the NBA since I was 19 years old, but it’s a different level.”

“I’m focused on just what I can control,” he said.  “I don’t really play into all the gossip and things that take place, but that’s life.”

“I’ve been doing a lot of things with my foundation and spending time with my family and working on my game,” Humphries, who does not currently have a contract with an NBA team, said of his life post-Kardashian.  “Hopefully I’ll be on a team soon and get ready to go.”

“Really right now I’m focused on basketball and other things will take care of themselves,” he said when asked why he wants his marriage annulled.  “It’s a great day for the NBA and the fans.”

When asked about her own feelings toward the divorce,Kris’ mom added, “We have so much to be thankful for, and that’s where our family is at right now,” she said today. “We’re not trying to look back. We’re just trying to move forward.”

Following the interview, Kris has since that he felt ambushed during his ‘GMA’ interview and that he never agreed to discuss his marriage and divorce.

Don’t these people ever learn? Don’t want people in your personal life, then keep it personal.
