Times have certainly changed. Years ago, I remember it was considered taboo for a man, one that’s involved anyway, to go to a strip club and even let his woman find out about it. Not anymore, apparently. Women are now tagging along with their men to enjoy a peep show or two.
In the last decade, women have become accustomed to a girls night out at the strip club, and I’m not talking about going to see men strip. It may not have been uncommon back in the 90’s or even in the early 2000’s, but its certainly become a not so odd choice for an entertaining evening. Whether they want to admit it or not, women like to watch other women strip. For some of us, it’s fun, just another form of entertainment, and, who knows, you may even pick up a few tricks to take back home. I don’t know about you, but sweaty men, gyrating and fondling themselves is not my idea of a fun night. At least with women it’s more of an art form (in my opinion anyway). Aside from the obvious, it takes great technique and upper body strength. It’s not easy sliding, gyrating, splitting, and flipping up and down a pole, and, hey, if she can move, even better. So why shouldn’t couples enjoy a good strip show together? It may not be everyone’s cup of tea but you’ll be with your man, enjoying the show, and spend less time worried about what he’s doing without you.
Case and point, singer-songwriter Ne-Yo and his and children’s mother, Monyetta Shaw, enjoyed a night out together at an Atlanta strip club over the weekend. After TMZ revealed some shocking photos, of the singer and girlfriend, many people immediately dished out their disdain for the way the couple decided to entertain themselves.
After receiving much criticism, it didn’t take long for Ne-Yo to send is haters a message. He posted via twitter, instagr.am/p/GwQLbgQmSo,
I’m not sure if the couple received the backlash because they went together or because they have two young children at home but I say, what’s the big deal, right?! After all, a couple that parties together stays together. And, I for one, have even invited my significant other to party with myself and a few friends at an all female strip club. I really don’t see the big deal, in fact, I embrace it. In my opinion, some people just take themselves too seriously. It may not be your thing but if its someone else’s let them be. They say opinions are like assh*les right?
What do you ladies have to say, would you or have you tagged along with your man during a night at a strip club?
