Lady Saw’s album listening party, for new release, “Alter Ego,” was held in New York City last night and our staff was on hand to meet the legendary Dancehall Queen. Can you believe that Lady Saw’s career spans 25 years?! And don’t think for a minute that the Queen of Dancehall is slowing down. In fact, she is the first female Jamaican artist to win a Grammy, certified as a triple-platinum artist and has headlined a number of, and growing, dancehall shows outside her native country.
During the session Lady Saw provided previews of the album singles and even did a few impromptu performances of some of her new singles and old.
The album puts her creativity on full display and showcases both the
racy side of “Lady Saw” and the more subdued side of “Marion Hall.” The album
features collaborations with Beres Hammond, Estelle, Ali Campbell of
UB40 and Flo-Rida.
Here’s the “Alter Ego” album track listing:
1. What Kinda Man featuring Estelle
2. I Do Love You featuring Ali Campbell
3. She Has Changed featuring Beres Hammond
4. STD
5. Hate Your Guts
6. Nuh Yuh Business
7. Whine
8. Pretty Fingers
9. Mi & Mi X
10. Heels On Remix featuring Flo-Rida
11. Cockpit
12. Hoping
13. Selfie
14. Heave
And here are two brief clips of what you can expect on the artist’s latest album.
She still has it , wouldn’t you agree?
“Alter Ego” officially hits the market today, November 18, 2014!
