Legendary reggae artist Gregory Isaacs passed away this morning at the age of 59. The musician, who was diagnosed with liver cancer a year ago, succumbed to the disease at his home in London, England. His family was by his side.
The illness subsequently spread to the rest of his body.
His wife, Linda, said in a statement, “Gregory was well-loved by everyone, his fans and his family, and he worked really hard to make sure he delivered the music they loved and enjoyed. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.”
