Screen Shot 2014-02-10 at 2.29.52 PM2014 is definitely the year of Lupita Nyong’o! The beautiful actress is on the cover of New York’s Spring Fashion issue and lawd, does she look flawless!

The Mexican-born Kenyan actress rocked a red lip and a red/white floral print dress on the cover, while in her magazine spread, she wore two different dresses which also look stunning!

Nyong’o briefly discusses her childhood and how she began acting. She tells New York Magazine how she feels about her current life:

stressed, but blessed—I mean I couldn’t have dreamed this up.”

The 30-year old goes on to say,

“I’ve been in a bubble. I haven’t been out much. I haven’t gotten used to being recognized.”

It must be overwhelming for the rising star; she won the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in ’12 Years A Slave’ at the SAG awards, was recently chosen as one of the faces of Miu Miu’s Spring 2014 collection and was nominated for an Oscar —all in a span of about two months!

Fame definitely takes some time to adjust to; no one wants cameras flashing in their face all day long. However, with Lupita’s smarts (did we mention she attended Yale School of Drama?), her balanced childhood and humble attitude, we think she will adjust just fine!
