Is Mariah Carey Upset Over Nicki Minaj’s Addition To ‘American Idol’?

Rumor has it, Mariah Carey ain’t having it with Nicki Minaj! The singer would like to be the only diva to grace the ‘American Idol’ judging panel.

Yesterday, reports surfaced suggesting that the rapstress was asked to be one of two judges to replace Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler since their departure from the show last month.

Mariah is reportedly peeved at Idol producers for not informing her, first, of the new addition. She believed she would be the only female, not unlike Idol’s history, to mentor the contestants. But with news of Nicki’s addition, Mariah felt producers failed to take her feelings into consideration.

Many wonder, however, that with her countless accolades and years experience in the music industry, should she even feel threatened by the younger artist?
