Last week we told you about the unfortunate event that lead to singer Mary J Blige‘s dad being listed in critical condition in a Michigan hospital.
Mary’s dad, Thomas Blige, was stabbed by an ex-girlfriend during a domestic dispute in his Battle Creek, MI, apartment the morning of January 23, 2014.
Blige, 63, sustained three stab wounds, including one to the neck and was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI.
We now know the woman, arrested on the scene, is Cheryl Ann White of Battle Creek, MI, who also resided in the same apartment complex as Blige.
She was officially charged with the intent to murder, Friday morning (January 24th), and held on half-million dollars bail (cash). A preliminary hearing has been set for Feb. 7 in 10th District Court in Calhoun County.
On what caused the domestic dispute between the two, officials have since revealed that Blige and White began arguing when he discovered her slashing the tires of his vehicle that morning.
Blige remains in critical condition at this time.
Mary J. Blige, who’s reportedly estranged from her dad, still hadn’t made any comments about the incident and her father’s condition.
