Some unfortunate news for Michael Strahan, 42, and Nicole Murphy, 46. The reality star and retired NFL player and TV host have called off their engagement.
According to reports, it was Murphy (Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife and mother to five of his children) who ended things with Strahan.
Nicole Murphy decided to tell the world she had broken up with Michael Strahan — right when he was entering the Hall of Fame — because that’s when she “confirmed” he was unfaithful.
A source close to the couple tells TMZ … Nicole first got wind Michael might be dating another woman in early July and started investigating … the way scorned women do. We’re told she was finally convinced it was true on Friday and immediately decided to go public.
The site also reports that another source has revealed that the couple have been broken up for several weeks and their bi-coastal relationship put a strain on things.
Nicole lives in Los Angeles predominantly and is busy filming reality series “Hollywood Exes,’ while Michael is currently living in New York full time for his ‘Live with Kellyand Michael’ morning show gig.
The source adds that the couple have actually been on and off for two years and Nicole put an end to things once she suspected he had been unfaithful.
The couple began dating in 2007 and became engaged in 2009.
