She’s finally one! Monica and Shannon Brown just celebrated their daughter, Laiyah, first birthday. The were married in 2010, after meeting on the set of Monica’s “Love all over Me” video several months prior, and welcomed the baby girl three years later on September 3, 2013. It was the proud mom who shared a photo of the baby girl on Instagram and described the profound feelings she had for her daughter.
The photo was captioned with this loving message, “September 3rd 2013 God Blessed us with the most amazing gift, our daughter Laiyah. You brought joy unspeakable to this family …. Happy Birthday My Angel you are everything we prayed for … Know that Daddy will hold you, your brothers will protect you, Mommy will care for you and we all will love you #Forever #LaiyahsFirstBirthday.”
Monica also shared an intimate video further elaborating on her joy in celebrating Layiah’s first birthday. The video was of the newborn baby girl, following her birth and being welcomed by her family.
Upon sharing an image of the birthday girl and her cake Mo added, “Laiyah is such a lady!! We gave her a smash cake to have a ball with and made sure she was comfy only for her to swipe one finger through the icing and politely taste!! LOL #myprincess #RomelowassayingsmashitLaiyahPoo #Rockocouldntstoplaughing #HappyFirstBirthdayLaiyah.”
Laiyah celebrated her birthday classy and surrounded by love. She’s one lucky girl!
