Congratulations may be in order for singer and “R&B Divas ATL” reality star Monifah and her girlfriend, Terez.
The couple of three years have reportedly gotten married during a recent trip to Hawaii.
It was the singer who shared the above image of herself and Terez tweeting, “Me & my love…. official.” By “official” many presumed she was referring to finally getting married after a proposal last season.
The singer and her “R&B Divas” co-stars were all in tow for filming of the reality series (season 3) when the couple, presumably, decided Hawaii would be the perfect location to exchange their vows.
Mo shared several more images of herself, Terez, and her co-stars having a blast during the trip. The singer had also just celebrated her 43rd birthday on January 28.
During season 2 of the reality series, we witnessed Terez propose to the singer when asked if she’d leave her life in New York City behind to join Mo’ in Atlanta.
Although she initially declined the invitation, Terez surprised Mo by popping the question and said she’s only move to Atlanta as her wife and not just her girlfriend.
The singer then accepted the proposal.
We also witnessed the singer’s struggle discussing her relationship with her 23 year old daughter, Akemi. Although the singer has received lots of support since coming out last year, her daughter is not so accepting of mom’s sexuality and relationship.
We hope the two have since been able to overcome the issue and remain close.

I’m just so glad that she has turned her life around, and congrats to her for taking this step. It’s not her daughter’s life, and it shouldn’t stop her daughter form loving and supporting her.

Don’t mean you love someone that you are suppose to support everything that they do. Have Respect that her daughter feels this way and her daughter disagreeing with her lifestyle has nothing to do with the daughter’s love for her mother.
I sure don’t see where I wrote “because you love someone you support everything they do.” You need to have respect for the words that are written, and you have respect for an opinion that’s not your. Never implied that her daughter’s love is contingent on Monifah’s lifestyle. Monifah’s life should not stop her daughter from loving her or supporting her mother, is what I wrote. I didn’t write support her mother’s lifestyle or life choices. Her mother is a grown woman and can support her own life choices in love. Nice try, but I can clearly see the words I wrote. When trying it fails!
