Nick Cannon covers the newest installment of BLEU Magazine’s “MAN OF THE YEAR” issue. Inside the magazine, Nick opens up about romance with Mariah and fatherhood.
His nomination suggests he is a certified sex symbol. He says, “[Being labeled a sex symbol] comes with the territory when being a solid husband and good father. Women find that kind of stuff appealing and sexy.”
Although Nick does admit it wasn’t always this way. “Growing up, I was always the smallest kid in the school…I was the skinny and lanky dude…So I embrace [being labeled a
sex symbol] now.”
After battling rumors that his public romance with super star Mariah Carey was a publicity stunt and would fail, Nick suggests that he and Mariah are very much still in love. “Mariah and I are both hopeless romantics. We just made a pact to say that we want to be in this because we enjoy each other and we love each other,” he says. Nick also suggests that, despite the rumors, his relationship is mostly smooth and easy. “We always wanted a fairy tale relationship…and the drama that normally comes with it, we [can] do without.”
Recently Nick and Mariah added two bundles of joy to their family. “I was built for fatherhood,” he says. “I grew up in a family with a lot of kids…I have taken care of kids my whole life. As soon as my children were born, they became first and everything else became secondary.”
