Nicki Minaj To Make First Film Debut In “The Other Woman”

Nicki Minaj has landed her very first movie role. The rapper is set to star in the upcoming film, ‘The Other Woman’, alongside actress Cameron Diaz.

These days, she’s best down for dishing advise to contestants as an ‘American Idol’ judge but Minaj is prepping to play the assistant to Diaz in the upcoming comedy. The movie is about a woman (Diaz) who discovers she’s “the other woman” of a cheating husband when she decides to take revenge and team up with his wife.

The role shouldn’t be too much of a stretch for Minaj. In fact, acting is her first love before pursing a music career. She was a drama major while attending performing arts school, Laguardia High School in New York City. And, shall we say, Nicki is known for her theatrics. She is, perhaps, the most animated rapstress of our time.

During a recent interview, she tells MTV News
, “I may be working on something right now. I can’t really say too much about it, but I definitely have the acting bug,” Minaj said. “That was my first love, so you just never know.”

The film is set to begin shooting, sometime, this summer.
