Nicki Minaj left her fans speechless on Twitter, Tuesday night, when she announced the official release date for her highly anticipated “Pink Print” album. As per the rapper, the “Pink Print” will be in stores November 24, 2014. After her very memorable performance at the VMA’s and the release of her video “Anaconda,” many were anxious to know what Onika (the rapper’s given name) would be up to next.
Following the remix to Beyonce’s “Flawless,” fans were pretty impressed with the rapper’s verse. It was an opportunity to show off her talent as a lyricist, something we don’t often see. but it also leave fans confused with the direction the rapper would be going with her new album. Further adding to that confusion is a number of singles and features she’s done with fellow artists.
With the release of her lead single, “Pillz and Potions,” we saw a much softer side to the rapper. “Anaconda” gave us her raunchy side and “Looking A** N**gaz” gave us her egotistical side. Although we can’t be certain what the album will bring, we can assure your Nicki is just getting started.
In fact, she’s accomplished a lot this year. At the 2014 BET awards she won the award for Best Female Rapper, five times in a row. She has released her clothing collection, exclusively through Kmart and has re-branded her image, going from the over-the-top animated, heavily made up with bright-colored wigs Nicki, to a more natural look; much like the photo above. But the question still remains, how well will Nicki’s newest musical delivery be received?
