After months of separation, Paula Patton has finally filed divorce papers to end her marriage to Robin Thicke.
Although the singer tried vehemently to win his wife back, which includes recording a number of songs, conducting interviews and performances to win back her love, it’s just not going to happen.
Upon filing divorce papers, the actress cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split and wants joint custody of their young son, Julian, 4.
For much of the last year, the couple have been plagued with infidelity reports on the singer’s part. Thicke would later reveal that in addition to his infidelities, excessive drinking and drug use contributed to the demise of his marriage.
Bu there is good news. Despite the split, reports suggest that there is no bitterness between the exes and things should be amicable.
Patton notes that she and the singer separated back on February 21st.
