In some “I can’t believe people really have the nerve to do this news…” a petition has been started urging power couple and music’s finest, Beyonce and Jay Z to comb their two year old daughter, Blue Ivy’s, hair.

In the petition, listed on change.org, Jasmine Toliver expresses her concern over the toddler’s unkept hair after recent images emerged with Blue’s hair tangled and matted. She writes…

As a woman who understands the importance of hair care. It’s disturbing to watch a child suffering from the lack of hair moisture. The parents of Blue Ivy. Sean Carter A.K.A Jay-Z and Beyoncé has failed at numerous attempts of doing Blue Ivy Hair. This matter has escalated to the child developing matted dreads and lint balls. Please let’s get the word out to properly care for Blue Ivy hair.

But that’s not all, Jasmine isn’t alone in her attempts to get the parents to attend to Blue’s hair. The petition already has 1,500 signatures.

My opinion? Someone has way too much time on their hands for this.

I too have noted that I thought Blue’s hair was unkept but this has gone way too far. I think the issues really lies within the black community and the ongoing debate on what is considered “good” and “bad” hair.

Who are we to tell a parent how to care for their child’s hair? I’m sure Blue is a healthy, happy and well attended to little girl. Isn’t there greater problems in the world?

This is just ridiculous!

Tell them to mind their business because not many black girls parents kept up with their hair as a child i know mine didnt my hair broke off from getting a perm to early and having an unkept perm but i got older and learned how to do it myself. They dont do her hair because they want her to be a natural little kid not because they dont have the means to. They can afford to hire someone to come in and do it everyday but they choose not to clearly theres a reason and they dont owe anyone an explanation.
