Unfortunately for Phaedra Parks and husband Apollo Nida, Bravo is reportedly pulling the plug on their “Rich People’s Problems” reality show spin-off (See HERE for details).
Following Nida’s legal troubles, stemming from his bank and identity fraud charges (See HERE), the network may be trying to wash their hands of the show.
According to Wetpaint.com
“Phaedra and Apollo were doing a spin-off show, which is called Rich People’s Problems, and it was supposed to premiere later on this year,” Wendy [Williams] said on her daytime show this week. “It follows Phaedra as she does the legal eagle thing for rich people in Atlanta. She’s perfectly boring on The Housewives, so God only knows why they would give her a spin-off show. Now that Apollo’s facing up to 30 years in prison, for bank fraud and identity theft — Bravo wants to wash their hands of that little spin-off show.”
Well, I’m not surprised are you? I’m also not convinced that the show would have been a hit among viewers. I have to agree with Williams, Parks hasn’t quite connected with a large enough audience to garner her own show. That may be the real reason Bravo has decided to pull the plug.
In recent weeks the couple have also faced speculation their marriage is on the rocks (See HERE). With a federal case pending, two young boys to take care of and constant media scrutiny, there may very well be a strain on the couple’s marriage.
We wish Phaedra and Apollo well.
