Not that any of us should really be surprised but, Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida are heading for a divorce.
Although the rumors have been circulating for months, following Nida’s arrest and conviction for bank fraud, a rep for the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star has just confirmed the news.
According to Sister 2 Sister…
“RHOA” fans watched as the reality TV couple’s marriage fell apart. There was obvious tension between Apollo and Phaedra during season 6. Some assumed there were residual issues from season 5, when Apollo and Kenya Moore continued their friendship, despite Phaedra’s objections.
However, things continued to deteriorate when Apollo became violent toward a guest during a sleepover event for cast members. Around that same time, Apollo was indicted on charges of identity theft and bank fraud. Things went from bad to worse.
After accepting a plea deal, Apollo is now serving an 8-year sentence in a Kentucky facility.
Parks has retained an attorney to begin the divorce proceedings a rep has confirmed to E! News.
We guess we will see when all the drama unfolds during season 7 of the popular reality series. The show is set to make its premiere on November 9th on Bravo TV.
