An Atlanta judge has just awarded “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Stewart $5,000 in spousal support from her estranged husband Kordell Stewart.
Perhaps, the judge felt a little sympathy for Mrs. Stewart considering she was blindsided by the divorce and forced to move out of their Atlanta mansion after Kordell changed the locks last month. In fact, changing the locks to the home the couple shared even after the divorce filing may have also been another incentive for the judge to rule in Mrs. Stewart’s favor.
And although Porsha may now be financially able to provide for herself since becoming a reality star, Kordell’s own argument, when he married her he had fully intended on keeping her a housewife. Therefore, he was fully responsible for the upkeep of his wife and her financial needs.
After a court hearing on Tuesday, June 18th, where the two parties were present, the judge reviewed all evidence to support Porsha’s claims for spousal support. Porsha was awarded temporary spousal support of $5000 per month and that her personal belongings be returned and paid to be put in a storage unit.
