Porsha Stewart is not willing to go down without a fight. After being blindsided by husband Kordell Stewart‘s filing of divorce papers, Porsha has just hired an attorney and filed paperwork of her own.
In her filing, Mrs. Stewart is requesting alimony under the notion she gave up her previous life to take care of Kordell’s son from a previous relationship.
However, in Kordell’s initial filing, where he lists the marriage as “irrevocably broken”, he also notes his wife shouldn’t receive monetary support because she is capable of earning her own income.

As per TMZ, “according to the new legal docs, filed by Porsha’s attorney Randall Kessler, Porsha’s marriage set her way back professionally … because she quit her job for two years while they were married (and even sold her businesses) in order to care for Kordell’s kid from another woman.”
Porsha’s also demanding she be able to exclusively use their Atlanta home.
A rep on behalf of Mrs. Stewart also reveals, “Porsha had held off on filing her own divorce papers because Kordell had promised to work on the marriage with her.”
Porsha discovered her husband had filed for a divorce like the rest of us, in the media. Ouch! What a sneaky little devil he is, isn’t he?
Porsha’s attorney is also said to be the same lawyer NeNe Leakes used when she divorced Gregg Leakes, her ex-husband turned fiance.
