“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star and husband to Phaedra Parks, Apollo Nida, is reportedly on the run. On Wednesday, Nida neglected to show up for his 12 pm deadline to begin an eight- year federal prison sentence for the fraud charges he was convicted of back in May.
Although there are conflicting reports on whether Nida has gone missing or has turned himself in, it’s speculated that his actions were as a result to a heated argument with his wife. It’s also reported that the Bravo cameras were also rolling during the altercation.
According to CNN, “Nida came to the house because he was upset that Parks would not deposit money into his prison account.”
TMZ.com adds that, although he’s gone “missing,” Nida is still located in the Atlanta house he shares with Parks – who hasn’t been supportive during her husband’s legal issues.
In fact, several weeks ago, Nida himself confirmed to TMZ reporters that he feels his wife has abandoned him.
Parks, however, “is telling friends Apollo has essentially abandoned his family for the last 2 months … choosing drinking and strip clubs over his wife and 2 kids.”
The housewife’s public relation firm has also confirmed that the events have taken a toll on Parks and the couple’s two young sons, Ayden and Dylan.
Although reports are still vague and are continuing to roll in, we wish the couple all the best in this trying time.
