Earlier in the week we told you that “Real Housewives of New York” reality star, Ramona Singer, and husband, Mario Singer, had separated (See HERE).
Well, things have just gotten a little bit more interesting.
Just one day following reports of the separation, Ramona officially filed divorce papers from her husband of 22 years. But wait, there’s more.
According to reports, Singer discovered her husband had been carrying on an extramarital affair with a woman she caught him with in the couple’s Hamptons home.
Ouch!
“Ramona has been protecting him,” her former RHONY co-star Jill Zarin told People.com. “She looked the other way when people told her he was cheating.”
Although Singer herself didn’t get into the details about her pending divorce, she did tweet this message on Tuesday (the same day as her divorce filing), “Thank you all for the love & support! For my daughter’s sake, I would appreciate everyone respecting our privacy during this difficult time,” she wrote.
The couple have been plagued by infidelity reports in the past but have always maintained that the reports were false.
The couple share a 19 year old daughter together, Avery Singer. We wish them well.
