Ricki’s back! Ricki Lake, 44, is making her comeback to the daytime talk show arena. Although not new, the show, is a reincarnation of her 1993-2004 talk show ‘The Ricki Lake Show’.
On her return to television Ricki says, “I have a specific point of view and a vision and a sense of who I am at this point in my life. Not that I have it all figured out, but growth comes with age and life experience.”
“The Ricki Lake Show,” just made its debut on Monday, 5pm eastern, this time on the CW network. The show was original on My9tv (Formerly the UPN 9).
She’ll have competition though, former news anchor Katie Couric and actor/comedian Stevie Harvey have also joined the daytime talk show arena. And, of course, the queen of media, Wendy Williams has dominated since Oprah’s departure back in 2011. We wonder will Ricki’s show bring in the ratings?
We shall see. Welcome back Ricki!
The successfully syndicated talk show ended when Lake decided she needed to focus on her family at the time. Although now remarried the talk show veteran shares custody of her two sons with her ex-husband, Rob Sussman. She’s now married to Christian Evans.
