Rihanna Offers To Pay Funeral Cost For Slain Fan

Say what you will about self-proclaimed bad girl and pop star, Rihanna, but one thing’s for sure, she loves her navy (fans) and her navy loves her.

In some unfortunate turn of events, one of the singer’s beloved fans, Thiago Sobral Valencia, was murdered by the hands of his step-father.

After discovering the young teen had died the singer tweeted, on Monday, “R.I.P. To one of our fallen soldiers, brutally murdered yesterday in Brazil! 14 year old Thiago, will forever be in our hearts! #Navy.”

The teen was stabbed to death by his stepfather, Andre Andrade, 32, last Friday (Jan. 31), according to Brazil247.com. Andrade also killed his wife (Thiago’s mother), Vanessa Almeida Sobral, 32, and Thiago’s youger brother, Osvaldo Periria Jr., 9.

After gaining further details of the murder the singer again tweeted, “Just learned that Thiago’s mother and sibling were also murder victims in the horrible and tragic turn of events! Dear God! #Navy #RIPThiago.”

“Let’s send our support to his family and friends during this difficult time guys! #RIPThiago,” she again added.

The singer also shared several images of the the teen’s family and a message about his death and keeping him in her memories.

“Thiago’s family with his “Rihanna Collection”! #diamondsinthesky”

Valencia, who had been living with his father but visiting his mom and younger brother at the time, is said to have been asleep when he was attacked.

Andrade is also accused of attempting to rape Valencia’s 13-year old cousin. He is currently on the run.
