For the past week rumors have circulated that Sharon Osbourne and Ozzy Osbourne are headed for a divorce. In fact, the rumors suggest the couple are already separated.
This is not the first time the couple have faced rumors of a separation, during the course of their 31 years marriage, however. And just what could the issue be this time? Ozzy’s inability to give up drinking.
The rocker has admitted, on more than one occasion, that he does have a drinking and substance abuse problem. Although he’s been admitted to rehab in the past, his addiction is a lifelong battle he continues to fight. In fact, following reports of a separation Ozzy has since apologized to his family for his relapse.
On his Facebook page Ozzy confesses, “For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs. I was in a very dark place and was an asshole to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober.”
On rumors he and Sharon are headed for a divorce he says, “Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing. I’m just trying to be a better person.
He then continued with, “I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends and my band mates for my insane behavior during this period………and my fans.

As one source puts it, “They’ve been through hell and back together. They’re not breaking up.”
We have to agree. We wouldn’t want to see these two split either. Thirty one years is a long time but we also agree that tough love is also necessary when it’s a matter of life and death.
We wish them well and Ozzy a full recovery from his addiction.
