Could Solange Knowles, 28, have just gotten engaged to longtime boyfriend Alan Ferguson, 51? That’s the word on the street.
For the singer’s 28th birthday, yesterday (June 24, 2014), she shared the most adorable photo of herself and Ferguson during her 28th birthday celebration in Jamaica. The couple were in a loving embrace while enjoying a beach date at one of the island’s tropical resorts. The photo was captioned with, “perfect.”
Although Ferguson’s face was not visible in the photo, it’s pretty clear, it is him.
Speculation now insist that the couple are engaged after five years together. And back in March Knowles herself said this of her relationship with the video director, “Luckily, I dated all of the losers ages ago…My love life has been stable for a while. It’s a f–ked-up thing—without conflict it’s a lot harder to write interesting songs.”
The couple live together with Knowles’ 8-year-old son, Juelz, from her three year marriage to childhood sweetheart Daniel Smith when she was just 17 years old.
Of her birthday celebration the singer also shared this message with fans. She wrote, “Today couldn’t have been more perfect. I couldn’t have smiled harder. Thank you for all of your lovely and wonderful wishes. They warmed my heart and I simply feel grateful for all of the love.”
