Solange Knowles Wed Alan Ferguson In New Orleans (Photos)

We previously reported that singer Solange Knowles, 28, would marry longtime boyfriend and video director Alan Ferguson, 51, this weekend in New Orleans. Well, we were right. The couple exchanged vows, on Sunday, in a ceremony fit for an African King and Queen in front 200 of their closest family on friends.

According to PEOPLE, The couple said “I do” at the Marigny Opera House in New Orleans at approximately 2 pm in the afternoon. The nontraditional pair also opted out of taking a limo to the ceremony and chose to arrive via white vintage bicycles instead.

As for their arrival attire, the bride rocked a cream pantsuit with a cape and plunging V-neck (accenting her look with a red lip) by Stéphane Rolland, while the groom matched in a white suit sans tie.

Meanwhile, big sis Beyoncé pulled up about 15 minutes later in a black SUV, with husband Jay Z and daughter Blue Ivy in tow. Mom Tina Knowles, son Daniel Julez and singer Janelle Monae also attended.

And just two days earlier the couple held a pre-wedding bash and movie night at NOLA’s Indywood Cinema followed by wedding rehearsals on Saturday.

The wedding party included Knowles’ sister Beyonce, mom Tina Knowles, singer Janelle Monae, and cousin Angela Beyince.

Mama Tina was also joined by her boyfriend and actor Richard Lawson.

Following the ceremony, the couple headed off to the reception while marching in the streets of New Orleans. Here is Knowles with son Daniel Juelz.

Visibly missing from the bunch was Solange’s dad, Mathew Knowles, whose been plagued with much controversy stemming from the children he fathered while still married to Tina. He’s proven to be the father of one boy and a girl whom he now has to provide child support for.

This is the second marriage for Knowles who wed first husband Daniel Smith in 2004 when she was just 17 years old. The couple welcomed their son several months later.
