How do you rack up $1 million in back child support? We’re not sure, but, ask Stevie J.
The music producer and “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” reality star was arrested Monday morning (June 9, 2014) for owing $1 million in back child support dating back to 1999.
“He (Stevie J) and his live-in GF had a kid in ’97 and ’98. In ’99 Stevie was ordered to pay around $6,600 a month in child support, which eventually was raised to $8500K,” TMZ reports.
The site adds,
According to the criminal complaint, Stevie J stopped paying in 2001 — he’s never paid a cent since then. So now the tab is a whopping $1,107,412.
Cops nabbed Stevie J in Georgia (check out the video). He’ll probably bail out soon but then has to face criminal charges in NYC.
We’re guessing there may be some truth to rumors that Stevie’s lavished life with wife and fellow LHHATL reality star, Joseline Hernandez, is a fraud.
In fact, the couple is said to have faked their wedding last June or July (depending on which one of them you ask).
And, according to reports, the large house you see the couple living in on the popular reality show, isn’t there’s.
As for Joseline’s diamond ring, it was reported to be given to her from an ex during a previous relationship.
