Are you ready for the release of the highly anticipated “Straight Outta Compton” movie?
The upcoming film will document the rise of N.W.A (Niggaz Wit Attitude) from the streets of Compton, CA, in the mid-1980s, how the group revolutionized pop culture with their music, and, tales about life in the hood.
The above image and first look of the film’s cast was also released, on Wednesday. It includes original NWA members Ice Cube and Dr. Dre with producer F. Gary Gray in the middle.
Beneath them are actors O’Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell who’ll play Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and the late Eazy-E.
By the way, Jackson Jr. may look a bit familiar to some of you. He’s Ice Cube’s actual son.
The F. Gary Gray directed and Todd MacMillan/Universal Pictures produced film is set for an August 14th release.
