Tameka “Tiny” Harris’ Dad, Charles Pope, Passes Away

Tameka_Tiny_Harris_Dad_Charles_PopeSome unfortunate news tonight. Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris has lost her father and singer Charles Pope after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Mr. Pope was a legendary musician and lead singer of 60’s R&B group, The Tams. He was Tiny’s inspiration to also become a singer and form a quartet with her former Xscape band mates. She was also really close with her dad — something we’ve witnessed on several of the singer’s reality show appearances.

Pope was 76 years old. He is survived by his wife Dianne Pope and his three children, including Tiny, her brother Albert “Little Redd” Cottle, and Michelle Pope.

Funeral arrangements are currently being made at this time. Our condolences.

    Oh wow this is sad. She really loved her daddy and he seemed like a great man. This happened a couple days after her birthday.
