Taylor Swift has one reason to celebrate this week, her newly released album Speak Now debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 this week. The album has sold more 1,046,718 copies in its first week alone. It is the biggest single-week sales total since 2005, and the biggest debuting country studio album ever.
Speak Now additionally is the largest album release in its debut in the history of the retailer Target. The country singer will also g on a 2011 tour to support the album.
An NBC special titled “Taylor Swift — Speak Now” will air on Thanksgiving night.
