During Sunday night’s 47th annual Country Music Awards, Taylor Swift was named ‘Entertainer of the Year’ for the second year in a row.
The singer not only thanked her fans but her fellow nominees. She stated, “I’m so happy about this. I want to say to my fellow nominees in this category I respect you so much and I love you.”
She also thanked a very special fan who was to accompany her to the award ceremony. Unfortunately cancer patient Kevin McGuire was hospitalized earlier in the week. “He’s not here but I promised him I would give him a shoutout,” stated Swift.
Swift is only the second artist to take home the honors twice. ‘American Idol’ alum Carrie Underwood was the first to do so.
