Remember the now infamous Twitter beef between Teyana Taylor and Rihanna? Well, it seems the feud may have cost Taylor her deal with Adidas.

The singer partnered with the brand last year to create her signature sneaker line, the Harlem GLC.

Although a rep for the singer and address denied speculation Taylor was dropped from the company, last week, an Adidas PR manager has now confirmed news that the company has parted ways with Taylor.

At the time Taylor’s rep stated, “Teyana has not been dropped, the sneaker is on hold, no other comment or statements is ready to be issued at this time.”

However, the Senior PR Manager at Adidas released this statement, on Wednesday, to Madamenoire,

“We have ended our relationship with Teyana Taylor and do not have any upcoming product launches with her.”

When asked if the relationship ended over Teyana’s Twitter spat with Rihanna in which Taylor changed her Twitter header to a photo of Rihanna’s battered face post her 2009 assault from Chris Brown, the Adidas rep again responded with,

“All I can say is that Adidas partners with athletes and artists who blend well with our brand values. We evaluate our relationships with partners based on the values we hold at adidas and we don’t condone violence of any kind.”

Ouch!

And, just how does Teyana feel about this? Although, she didn’t exactly confirme being dropped from the athletics company but she did tweet this, “Hey Haters, imma let yall finish but I had the fastest sellin adidas of all time. #HandsMicBack&WalksOffStage #Kanyeshrug #ImSleepTho… And that’s my statement you guys have a nice day!!!! :-)”

And Taylor wouldn’t exactly be wrong. In fact, her sneaker made history earlier in the year, selling at a much faster rate than expected.

Adidas also confirmed, this week, their new partnership with rapper and Taylor’s G.O.O.D music mentor and rapper, Kanye West. The deal is reportedly worth $10 million. West, who spoke out against Nike in a previous partnership, will also earn royalties on his collaboration with the company.

So much for feuding on Twitter, it may cost you more than you think.

What do you think guys? Is it fair for Adidas to drop Taylor over her public feud with Rihanna?
