[Throwback Fridays] Aaliyah: “Back & Forth”

0

Recently it was announced that Blackground records has given the green light for a new Aaliyah album. An album long over due if you ask the die hard Aaliyah fans. In fact, rappers Drake, Missy Elliot and producer Timbaland have all been recruited so far to bring the album to life.
For this reason we pay homage to the late Aaliyah with her debut single “Back & Forth”. The single was released as the album’s (Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number) lead single in early 1994. It was certified gold by the RIAA on June 9, 1994 and spent three weeks at number-one on the U.S. Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart, peaking number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was also her first single to hit the top-ten. Check it out.
