In wake of Beyonce‘s highly anticipated return to the stage this Memorial Day weekend, we’ve decided to dedicate our throwback Friday to her today.

The year was 1999 when “Say My Name” was released from Destiny’s Child‘s ‘The Writing’s On The Wall’ sophomore album. The single is the most successful of the four releases from the album. It won “Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals” and “Best R&B Song” and was nominated for “Record of the Year” and “Song of the Year” at the 2001 Grammy Awards and an MTV Video Music Award.

“Bills, Bills, Bills” was also released in 1999 and was the first release from ‘The Writing’s on the Wall’.  It was nominated for two Grammy Awards: “Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals” and “Best R&B Song” at the 42nd Annual Grammy Awards.
